I have grown up in North Carolina all my life and am proud to call this state my home. In my free time you can find me either spending time in nature, dying my hair a new color, playing with my two kittens, taking photos or playing guitar.

My diverse skill set -- along with my sense of humor -- would be a great addition to any workplace. I shine most in a breaking news environment, exercising excellent news judgement and questioning authority when necessary.

I have a wide set of experience in photography, video editing, podcast production and HTML/CSS.

The Raleigh Police Department on Friday released footage from body cameras of five officers who were present when Daniel Turcios was shot alongside Interstate 440 in Raleigh after a crash last month. The nearly three hours of video, which the police department asked to be made public, shows Turcios refusing to drop his knife and then attempting to stab officers after being shocked by a Taser.
